Before we provide other ideas that tide you over with a cash influx for these holidays, we want to bring to your attention our amazing Holiday Club program.

With this account, you set up monthly automatic transfers of an amount of your choosing. The transfers usually run from December through November of the next year, and before Thanksgiving we deposit all these funds –plus dividends! – into your regular share account. To give you an idea, $75 a month will provide you $900 for the holidays next year. What are you waiting for?

Skip-a-Pay

This program allows you, after the first year of the loan, to “skip” up to two months’ worth of payments. This way, the amounts that you would have to pay are no longer due, and you can use that saved cash for other expenses.

The loan payments get added to the end of the loan, and your loans continue to be reported as current to credit bureaus.
You can skip payments on a variety of loan types: personal and vehicle loans, as well as personal lines of credit. You must request the skip-a-pay 10 days before a payment is due and there is a small processing fee per loan skipped.

Scorecard rewards
