How To Enable
Log into the app
Go to Menu → My Profile → Security Preferences
Toggle Biometrics or Passcode on
You can disable it anytime if you change devices.
Two-Factor Authentication (OTP)
For Online Banking, we use one-time passcodes (OTPs) when:
You enroll a new or unregistered device
You clear browser cookies
You perform sensitive transactions,
Codes are sent via SMS or email and must be entered to complete the sign-in — ensuring it’s really you.2
Best practices
Enable biometrics only on personal devices
Only register devices you own to avoid repeated OTP prompts
Keep your device’s Operating System updated
Verify your phone number and email for OTP delivery
Change your password every six months (we’ll remind you.)
Disclosures
Biometric login is an optional feature that allows you to access the OAS FCU Mobile App using biometric credentials supported by your device (such as fingerprint or facial recognition). Biometric information is stored and managed by your device’s operating system and is not collected, stored, or accessed by OAS FCU. Standard login credentials may still be required in certain situations.
One-time passcodes (OTPs) are used as part of OAS FCU’s security controls to help verify your identity. Delivery of OTPs may vary based on device settings, carrier availability, network connectivity, and international service limitations. OTPs do not eliminate the need for other security measures.
For security purposes, OAS FCU requires that you change your online/mobile banking password at least every six months. This requirement is enforced automatically by the system.
