Competition entry rules 

This contest is open to members of OAS FCU, both main account holders and joint account owners, who are at least 18 years of age on November 3, 2023. Only one entry will be allowed per person per competition; you may not participate on the same social media competition using different email addresses or name variations. Failure to observe this rule will result in your disqualification from the competition. 

To participate, you will be asked to provide your full name, email address and social media handle/username for the competition on which you’re participating (if you are playing on the Facebook Competition, we will ask for the link to your Facebook profile; if on Instagram, we will ask for your Instagram handle or profile link).  

To qualify to win, you must also either: 

• Visit OAS FCU’s Facebook page, “Like” it to follow us, and comment on the initial post announcing the competition.  
• Visit OAS FCU’s Instagram page and Follow us via one of our posts. 
• You may participate on both the Facebook and Instagram competition. 

The prizes 

There will be two cash prizes of $60 each, one for the Facebook section of the contest, and the other for the Instagram section of the contest. Any OAS FCU member may participate in the competition on both platforms, gaining a chance to win the prize for each platform. 

The competition process 

Stage One – Trivia Stories 

Between November 3rd and November 13, 2023, we will post a series of Stories on OAS FCU’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. Each story will contain a trivia question, a series of possible answers, as well as the correct answer.  

In order to learn the answers to the questions, you must log in every day of the competition, visit the OAS FCU and/or Instagram page(s) to read and learn what the trivia question and correct answer are. 

Stage Two – The Competition/Quiz 

On November 14th, and after all the questions and answers have been posted, we will publish a link to a quiz with questions that were part of the Trivia Stories. You will have 72 hours from the time of publication to provide your answers. You will register for the competition at that time, providing your name, email address, and social media handle/username, which we will use to confirm your eligibility and contact you if you win. 

Stage Three – Determining the winners 

The Credit Union will determine the name of the person with the highest number of correct answers to the trivia questions for both the Facebook and Instagram individual competitions. If there are multiple people with the highest score, a drawing will be performed to determine the winners. The drawing would take place between November 20 and November 22, 2023. 

Stage Four – Announcing the winners and deposit of prizes 

At the end of the competition and, after the winners have been determined, OAS FCU will post their names on the respective social media where they participated: The Facebook competition winner will be announced on the Credit Union’s Facebook page, and the Instagram competition winner will be announced on the Credit Union’s Instagram page. The names of the winners will be announced on or before Friday, November 24, 2023

Each individual winner will be notified via email. The prize winnings will be deposited in each winner’s OAS FCU account before or shortly after the announcement. 

Tax Issues: The Credit Union will report the prize winnings to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by applicable law. Each winner is responsible for all tax consequences (if any) of the prize. 

Publicity: By accepting the prize, each winner agrees to allow the Credit Union to use his/her name, pictures, and likeness in promotional and other Credit Union materials, without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.  

Agreement to receive electronic notices: When you sign up to receive the emails regarding the competition, you are also ratifying your agreement to receive electronic notifications from OAS FCU, as stated on our Electronic Signatures in accordance to the Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) Policy, available here. http://mycu.oasfcu.org/index.php/electronic-records
